It is based on the new Intel S5520UR serverboard and will accept up to 2 Intel Xeon 5500 series processors with 2 or 4 cores each. To support all the processing power you can install up to 96GB ECC registered or unbuffered DDR3 800/1066/1333MHz memory. The front of the chassis has five hot swappable 3.5' drive bays. The serverboard has 6 SATA II ports and supports RAID 0 1 and 10 for better data protection. Onboard Server Engine LLC Pilot II controller with 8 MB of video memory provides graphics support. Three custom PCIe connectors and one riser slot will allow for future add-in card upgrades. All this fits into a 2U chassis. The whole thing is powered by a redundant 1+0 high efficiency hot-swap 750W PSU so the system will get all the power that it needs.
